Welcome to Ambitions for Christ!

This blog has been on my heart for years now and with lots of encouragement from the Holy Spirit and my husband I am finally taking the leap to make it a real website! I had randomly blogged some in the past but the key word there was random. I used a quickie free site to unleash my thoughts on exactly no one for the most part. However, when I recently gave it a try again, people started stopping by and talking to me and starting conversations. Wow! So I decided to make the big scary step to a true website and blog.

Why Ambitions for Christ?

Well, when I first starting blogging years ago, my pastor at the time was preaching a sermon series from 2 Corinthians and a Bible verse he covered in that series simply stuck with me. I couldn’t get it out of my head! The verse was 2 Corinthians 5:9, “Therefore, we have as our ambition, whether at home or absent, to be pleasing to Him.”

It was (and still is!) my desire to live every day to the glory of God. It was my driving ambition when I started my rambling blog and it is still my ambition now, years later, as I start this blog.

What is Ambitions for Christ really about?

Ambitions for Christ will cover the many ways that I, as a Christian wife and mom, seek to discover daily how to live for and glorify Christ. This will include topics such as marriage, parenting, evangelism, church life, discipleship, personal prayer life, and Bible study to name a few topics. Basically, if it is something that I am or have been working through in my life, I will be writing about it from the angle of how to do that in a God-honoring manner.
