Moms are notorious for buying clothes…for their kids.

Seriously, we have no problems picking out adorable outfits for our sweet little kiddos. Let’s be honest, it is fun to dress them up! Even as they get older, we enjoy helping our kids find clothes they feel comfortable in and like to wear.

But, have you seen Moms shop? Maybe this is just me but shopping is rarely as joyful as it was when I was single and kid-free.

First, I am hyper price-tag sensitive. Shouldn’t I be spending this amount on something else for our family?

Then there is the fact that I am a Mom. In the back of my mind, I am wondering when I will get to even wear this nice outfit I find? Will it get stained or messed up the first time I wear it? If I eat too much spaghetti noodles with the kids at supper, will this outfit even fit me next week?

But you know what I do love to wear?

T-shirts and jeans.

When I am wearing jeans and a t-shirt, I can still be active with my kids. Plus, jeans and a t-shirt make me look like I actually changed out of pajamas today! 🙂

In addition, t-shirts can be forgiving with the little yo-yo changes that happen in my Mommy weight fun. T-shirt and jeans tend to be much more friendly to our family’s budget than other outfits which relieves that stressful factor too.

Finally, and most importantly, I am comfortable! Comfort equals confidence. When I feel comfortable about how I am dressed I move through my day with focus and drive. This is a win for me and a blessing to my family.
